Connected DataProtector/PC™ 7.5

Connected DataProtector/PC version 7.5 includes the following changes:

• Asset Survey and Remote Assist are no longer supported by the Data Center. Agents with these features are supported by the Data Center, but the features are not supported. Audit is still a supported feature.
• The Agent no longer supports Microsoft Windows 95.
• The Agent now supports Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
• The Data Center now supports the use of multiple disk volumes for customer data when HSM is installed.
• The Data Center now supports the use of secondary migration tape sets when primary migration tape sets are not used.
• The Data Center now supports SDK 2.3 for EMC Centera and offers improved overall performance with Centera.
• The DCAlerter service has been added. DCAlerter notifies individuals through email when a specific event log message is logged.
• The DCStatus tool is now a supported component.
• Secure Socket Layers (SSL) is now used in connections between the Agent and the Data Center.
• CD Maker supports creating both CDs and DVDs of account images.
• Many event log messages have been rewritten for clarity.
• Ticketing now supports Agent registration by user ID.
