This document includes procedures for changing the default session timeout for Support Center and the Account Management Website.

Overview

By default, the timeout for Support Center and Account Management Website sessions is 20 minutes. Use these procedures to reset either of these timeout values.

Changing the timeout for Support Center sessions:

  1. In Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, expand Default Web Site.
  2. Right-click SupportCenter and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. In the Virtual Directory tab, click Configuration in the Applications Settings section.
  4. In the Options tab, type the number of minutes in the Session timeout box.
  5. Click OK on each window to accept the change and close the window.

Changing the timeout for Account Management Website sessions

  1. Open Windows Explorer on the server and navigate to the following location:DataCenter\apache-tomcat-<version>\webapps\ssws\WEB-INF
  2. Open the file, web.xml.
  3. Locate the <session-timeout> tag and change the value to the number of minutes for the timeout.
  4. Save and close the file.
