This document includes a procedure to change the account password used on the Enterprise Directory server.

Concepts

If you have configured Enterprise Directory at the root or Data Center level in Support Center, you must use the following procedure to change the Enterprise Directory password. If you change the Enterprise Directory password before logging on to Support Center at the root level, you will be locked out of Support Center. Follow the steps in the procedure carefully to avoid being locked out of Support Center.

Procedure

  1. Using the current Enterprise Directory password, log on to Support Center.
  2. While the Support Center session is open, change the password on the Enterprise Directory server. The Support Center session will stay open for 10 minutes.
  3. Return to the open Support Center session and open the Enterprise Directory screen.
  4. In the Enterprise Directory screen, update the Connection Password.
  5. Click Save.

You can now safely close the Support Center session. If you are unable to perform these steps within the 10 minute window, change the account password on the Enterprise Directory server back to the original value and start again.
