Overview

Connected Backup offers two API toolkits:

  • Account Management Web Services API - Supplied with the purchase of a Data Center license. Enterprises can create custom and branded Web portals for end-user account management, such as registration and Agent download.
  • Admin API - Supplied with the purchase of an API license. Managed Service Providers and Resellers can integrate their backup plans into billing and CRM systems and automate reporting and account management for their users.

  • Application Developer with experience using the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

Description

The Account Management Web Services API and the Admin API let you customize Connected Backup.

  Account Management Web Services API Admin API
Purpose Lets you develop an Account Management application that provides similar features as the standard Account Management Website Lets you automate Support Center activities, such as provision and manage accounts, and customize Support Center reports
Benefit Provides methods that you can use in your custom Account Management Website application Lets you gain access to account information that you can use with a proprietary billing application
