Problem
Iron Mountain Digital has identified a problem with the filter driver in the Connected Backup Versions 8.2 Service Release 2 (SR2) Agent. When the filter driver is enabled, the agent does not correctly log either new files or changes to existing ones. As a result, no files are selected for backup, and so NO files are backed up.
Result
The Agent reports a successful backup, but no files are backed up. This occurs even if there are file changes that should have been backed up.
Workaround
If you encounter this issue, disable the filter driver for the agent configuration.
To disable the filter driver complete the following steps:
- Log on to the Support Center Web site.
- Select Backup Under the PC/Agent Setting.
- Select Disable filter driver.
- Select Finish.
To receive the change to the filter driver settings, the affected systems must backup to the server. After the filter driver receives the change, you must reboot the client system to remove the driver from memory.
