Microsoft® System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) lets its customers back up data off-site to Iron Mountain’s CloudRecovery™ service.
The CloudRecovery service integrates with DPM through its user interface and then backs up and archives DPM-protected data online. Customers can set their own retention policies, ranging from 30 days to 7 years, and then send the data to the secure Iron Mountain Digital data centers.
For DPM customers who have no secondary data center to replicate their data to, CloudRecovery provides an immediate, tertiary storage location—mirrored to a geographically separate storage locations—to compliment their disk and tape environment that DPM already provides.
